FACTORY FACILITIES

The Machine Tool Automation factory facilities and offices  ( 450 sq metres ) provides the support for the field service arm, as well as all in-house work.

Providing the platform for the complete machine tool rebuild / retrofit are 2 x slideway grinders, backed by surface grinding and general engineering plant ( lathes, mills etc )

The factory facility services include, but are not limited to :

• Machinery Rebuilds / Retrofits : Major or minor projects, returned to OEM standards of alignments and performance.
• CNC Modifications – Upgrades or retrofits, MTA has close relationships with control support such as Siemens, Fanuc, Fagor and Heidenhein.
• Slideway Grinding – Machine slideway reconditioning to makers & OEM specifications, slideway wear strip upgrades i.e. Turcite, Bronze, Tuflite Nylon. Removal, refit and slideway grinding of wear strips. Oil gallery configuration re-machined. Slide wiper systems upgraded. Machine scraping and finish hand scraping of mating slides and gib assemblies.
• Component Repair & Modifications – Spindle assemblies, ballscrew and support bearing, Gearbox and transmission rebuilds.
• Safety Guarding & Operator Walkways – Operator safety , incl emergency stairs and exit platforms. Design and manufacture to Australian Standards.  Installation and sign off to OH&S.
